Happy to report that she is in fact a hen, and is now laying me a beautiful pink egg... was hoping for blue but that did not happen. Her temperament has DEFINITELY mellowed out and is now a happy, friendly part of the flock. She comes running for treats with the others and is well mannered...

Happy to report all three polish are healthy, and beautiful GIRLS! Much relief on that one... all are feathered in and full size. Now if only I'd start getting some eggs.....

Sorry to say, that is most likely a roo baby. The comb is large and red for that age. Just keep an eye out for crowing around 4-5 weeks. But it is hard to tell At that age, so best of luck!

Looking like a roo to me, i say that cuz of the way the hackles are growing in, and the large red comb.

I have a lone silkie hen that I am adding these three to in about a week, in the meantime, they have been going on day trips out to the eglu cube with her. Susie Q pecks and jumps on the silkie hen as well! I sit there and watch in pure disbelief... the balls this girl has! She is so dominant...

Love this comment! There are so many haters out there but until you actually OWN one, you can't speak to their easy to clean design, modern look and comfort for the birds. And with all of this in mind, it is totally worth the cost if you can afford it. They are PERFECT for easily and cleanly...
