    I had a hawk issue a couple years ago. I hung old dvd & cd disks in bushes & trees, anywhere that would catch some movement from the wind & reflect light. I also made a scarecrow. No problem since.

    Very handsome! Roos have sooo much character. I've had as many as 6 at one time in 2 small flocks.Had to rehome 3 of them though to ongoing overmating & serious disputes. Happily, the all have good homes & their own girls now.

    Don't give up too easily...a couple years ago I had my fav hen pass suddenly on Feb. 5th. I still had her last 2 eggs in the frig. Sentimental & saddened by the loss of my best girl, I decided to make an incubator. Keep in mind, the eggs had been in the frig for 4 days at this point. So...

    Not yet roo's, but just had to share. They are RIR over Gold Laced Seabright bantam. They were so tiny they ran through the chicken wire effortlessly!

    "Stock" & "Stew's" half brother, "Bob Marley". He is EE over Blue Copper Marans. He is my RIR roo, "Bach's" bestest buddy & 1st. mate, they are inseperable! I know this for a fact because I seperated them once. Oh my, I had never heard either of them so upset! They cried for each other!
