Three days ago I hatched my first silkie buff orpington chick. The mother is a black silkie and the father is a buff orpington. The chick hatched with 5 toes and feathered legs and feet and buff coloring. It is 1/2 the size of the "normal" chicks. I'm mega curious to watch it grow! I hope this...

The father is a buff orpengton...the hens in question are RIR, BO, golden comet, silver laced wyandotte, and barred rock....

I hope your right...I checked the wing to see if I could maybe sex it and it appeared to have female wings but I'm not an expert by any means lol

It's almost like blueish grey with a light colored face lol

Yes the Flock has access to oyster shell and grit at all times. I will cut back on the extras and see if that makes any difference. Lol I cant help but want to give them everything they like.

She eats a mix of all flock feed, scratch grains, meal worms, suet plugs, kitchen scraps, and she also free ranges.

Hey yall! Im new to this community and I was hoping to ask yall if anyone knows why my 1 1/2 year old ancona duck is laying ONLY fair eggs? She laid a couple fairy eggs when she first started laying then we got a few normal sized eggs and now she lays only fairy eggs....any ideas?
