My first clutch of 3...

Thank you for your time! I don't feel like I over paid unless $2 a piece is overpaying. They have been amazing pets and our kids have taken very well to caring for them on a daily basis. Plus, chicken TV... need I say more!

My three girls were sold to me as Amerucana's but I'm thinking they are EE's. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Also, they are 24 weeks, any idea when they will start laying?

I think one of my girls just started laying. I have yet to get an egg that looks like this. The shell is strong, mostly brown, and has white coating on it. It can not be wiped off. Any ideas?

I'mean pretty sure they are golden comets but who knows sometimes... the speckled nature of the eggs produced has changed over the last week. Theye are mostly solid light brown now with no speckles. I have 3 EE's which have yet to lay their first egg. They all are going on 19wks so they still...

Got our first from our ladies @ 18wks.

Absolutely, they get 6+ hours a day in free range time. the run is almost 10x10 though. I only have 5 birds.

Our ladies are all named after former First Ladies... hence the White House! They love their renovated coop and run. Kept it low based on cost of hardware cloth. It is still very easy to clean all aspects of the run.
