Cali, my California White hen started laying at 16 weeks. Her first egg took me by surprise, as I still had the nest boxes closed up. I opened them that day and she has layed an egg everyday except 3 since then. My smallest hen too.

Congrats on ur eggs! It's so exciting when our babies first start laying! Where did u get ur scale? I love that!

mberinger, Cute egg! It's speckled, right? What breed laid it? Have fun collecting eggs. I have 8 chickens and I get 4, 5, or 6 eggs daily. I'm not sure all 8 are laying though.... Kay in NC

I'mean pretty sure they are golden comets but who knows sometimes... the speckled nature of the eggs produced has changed over the last week. Theye are mostly solid light brown now with no speckles. I have 3 EE's which have yet to lay their first egg. They all are going on 19wks so they still have a couple to go before I get anxious.

can anyone telly me if these are rouen eggs or chicken eggs I am unsure.

I was amazed at how big the egg on the left is I am not sure what chicken layed it the one on the right was from my buff orphington

Just different eggs we got today Not sure if the whites a chicken or duck eggduck egg? the other one is from a chicken we call stripes Im unsure what kind he is
