I found papas poultry on the web and called to order hatching eggs. I picked them up at their farm. They were a little concerned about fertility and gave me a couple extra “just in case eggs”. I put them in the incubator that same night. 21 days later I had a 100% hatch.
Really impressed...

It looks like cocci, I picked up some medication this morning and put her by herself with medicate her water and food we will see how he is in the morning

We have 3 and during the winter they lay about 17 eggs a week. Last summer we normally got three a day. They have been great layers and the eggs seem to be on the extra large end of the scale!!
I just purchased 6 chicks olive eggers. Cream legbar and maran cross. Will any of them retain the auto sexing gene? I can see one of the birds is lighter in color however they all have the stripes
I just purchased 6 cream legbar maran cross chicks. I hope to get 3 hens out of the batch but time will tell how we did on that draw. I am adding on to my original coop for more room. Will these ladies start laying at 20 weeks? I haven't found much written on the legbars and have mostly...
I have noticed since it is been colder here in the low 30s The girls have been more huddled up on the roost. I am wondering if they will spread out this summer. And if some of them will move into the new coop
