My crazy little flock is now 4 & 5 weeks old, i might have 2 roosters? i guess we’ll find out in the next week or two, the black one is pretty calm but the speckled one is crazy so idk if i’ll keep him lol. Have a great day!

Update on my chicks…i think the Columbian wyandotte is 4 weeks old and the others 3 weeks. The black and two dark brown chicks are supposed to be Prairie Bluebell Eggers and could be pullets or cockerels. The rest were all marked as pullets & the two other brown chicks were in the Wyandotte...

I realize EE isn’t it’s own breed and that it’s a mix, I’m just used to seeing the Americana cross I guess with the pea combs and muffs or beards. I was expecting these to be the same, but I also forgot Legbars have colored eggs too. 😊

Anybody get EE chicks this year from Hoovers that look more like Legbar than they usually do? I ordered 5 EE female chicks in May so they are 5 weeks old this week and they are getting single combs and have orange legs. I was kind of hoping for the usual Americana cross so any info on these...

I have 5 chicks that I got from Hoovers as Easter Eggers but they seem to have single combs and orange legs? Do you all think they are Easter Eggers or something like Legbar?

I also have this little chick which is an EE from Hoovers that will be 4 weeks in a couple days. It was in a batch that is supposed to be all females, I know it’s early and I’m not sure what they used as a cross for EE.
