Must admit royal mail is pretty good with eggs here I ordered several last year and had no breakages at all can't comment on fertility though was my first year incubating and was using cheep generic Chinese incubators learnt alot though now useing brinsea and rcom
It would and some breeds are obviously easier to get in us and some in UK I think silkies are hard to come by in us but over here they are quite popular I think I paid £3 a bird from my local market
Hi I was wondering how easy or viable it would be ordering eggs for hatching from usa to UK would it be as simple as ordering and getting posted or not also would the eggs survive the trip with a chance of still being viable to hatch ?? Thanks in advance
Sounds good I tryed incubateing some first time this year hatched 2 quail both passed and a runner duck but set all sorts and had bad luck tempted to try again lol
Thanks they definitely seem to be improving it was a really nice day here so they have had a day roaming the garden and loving every minute I even had to round them up to get them back in the hut lol
Well this morning they all seem a bit better opens the door to check feed ect and they all standing at the door eager to come out talking away one or two little crackling but seeming better
Droppings seem normal I only got them Wednesday but they seem to be eating and drinking fine I even had eggs Thursday morning they have been scratching around plenty maybe little lethargic they just seem to have very ruckly breathing like mucus in back of their throat and occasional snotty...
I have 8 rescue hens all have come with crackly breathing and I have seen for a better description snot bubbles I have isolated them from the rest of my flock but wondered what people recommend for treatment over the counter preferably I'm in the UK or any home remedy's thanks in advance
I have an incubator and was thinking of hatching some different eggs so want to know if any one knew of a chart with all the different levels and times for reference :-)
