I am having the same issue...looks like a pillow fight has been going on for about 1 1/2 months. I have 7- 2 yr olds & this is their first "hard" molt. Hence, one egg every 2 days from 7 hens. It's been like this for about 2 -3 weeks. Plus the days are getting short. They were very good...
Hannakat - Many thanks!!! We have pupae hatching along at an incredible rate. I guess that goes along with our chickens now starting to lay. Our little RIR Clarita is an egg laying machine. 4 eggs in 5 1/2 days & just started laying last Sunday.
My DH & I made one of your 3 drawer systems &...
For us, we didn't intend to quit smoking just to substitute. But I found that I liked the taste so much & realized, what the heck, let's give this a try. Worked like a champion. I just never pressured myself to quit. Like Chook-a-holic said, think of it as a brand change.
Absolutely love...

DH & I are absolutely thrilled!!!

Well, go figure. The first night that we used our heater it did not get below 38 degrees. So no real test. That's the first night in 2 weeks that it hasn't been below 30.
Finished our first anti-freezing waterer Christmas cookie tin. $2 total cost (thrift store) & voila, one heater. Works great & took 10 minutes to assemble.

We're going away for a few days & don't want my girls to go thirsty. So we are going to make a cookie tin waterer today. It doesn't get real cold here at night - mid 20's, but I am going to use the pipe insulation in the can & try a 25 watt chandelier bulb. This well be awesome. Can't...
