    Duckling with bellybutton - URGENT

Update: The duckling detached itself from the egg but he/she keeps moving around and seems to be fairly uncomfortable. Should I put cornstarch on the protruding 'bellybutton' or wrap the duckling in a damp towel? Please help!

    Duckling with bellybutton - URGENT

Hello. I had a duckling pip but they made zero progress for over 24 hours. After about two days of peeping but doing nothing I decided to help the little guy a bit (having experience assisting ducklings). I opened the hole a bit more then let them take care of the rest, which they did. The...

    gender

Well, it's hard to tell what gender they may be from the photos. A good way to tell the gender of a nearly grown to full grown duck is to look at their tails. Drakes, which are male ducks, normally have a curled feather on their tail while females do not. And from what I can see from the...

    Hatching Question.

Hello! So, a few days ago I noticed one of the eggs in my incubator moving a bit. It wasn't much but it was noticeably rocking. This has been going on for three days now. I know that ducklings need to adjust themselves in the egg before hatching but is it normal to take a few days to do so? I've...

Hello fellow duck lovers! I'm so happy I found this thread! Last month one of my ducks completely abandoned her nest after sitting on it for two weeks. I quickly got my incubator ready and put the eggs in but sadly they all were all duds... we'll, all but one! He ended up hatching about a week...

    Lonely duckling

I agree with what dotknott said earlier. Using a mirror or even a toy can help keep him company when you're not around. I would check Craigslist to see if anyone has any ducklings for sale though. I had a single egg hatch not too long ago and I gave him a tiny rubber duckie to keep him company...

    Muscovy keepers share your pics!

So many beautiful ducks! I used to own a very sweet Muscovy drake, who sadly passed away a few years ago, and my love for the breed has not ceased since! I plan on hopefully adopting another one in the near future. And all your photos are making me want one even more, haha!

    Injured Duck!

Thank you for the help. I went to my local feed store and purchased some bird friendly antibiotics and ointments and have been cleaning the wound twice a day. I think she may be blind in the injured eye but its looking much better and shes doing great.

    Injured Duck!

Hello. I've been searching all over the internet but have yet to find any help so I thought I would see if anyone here has any answers. Last night when I got home I found out that one of my ducks got in a fight with one of my chickens. I seperated the chicken and put the duck in its own pen but...
