It's amazing to see how different the American Partridge Rocks are to the ones I'm buying from Germany later this year. The German ones are much lighter. Still, incredibly scarce here in Europe, but the darker, mahogany shade is non-existent here.
@Sylvester017 Thank you! I definitely will. I used to breed laced varieties only, but recently fell in love with 'regular' colors. Pure red, white and buff are on their way next. Just waiting for hatching eggs. All large fowl, of course.
My breeding duo for the spring. I expect to have both blue and black offsprings. They haven't been separated yet, but thought I'd share the photos since I don't see a lot of people breeding pure blue/black wyandottes. They are large fowl.
The thing is: I have a white wyandotte rooster and 6 hens: two of them are black, the other two are blue and the remaining two are red. What color will their chicks be?
Hi There.
Can anyone tell me what kind of offsprings I may expect if I cross a white wyandotte cockerel with black, blue and red hens? I have no idea if the white in wyandottes is dominant or recessive.
Hi Guys.
I'm planning to start breeding my own Wyandottes (LF) and Buff Rocks next year. I have some space for 3 breeding pens, but I will need to build 3 coops for them, too.
What size should the coop be to house 6 hens and a rooster? I'm from Poland and we use the metric system, but I will...
Hi Guys.
I'm in a bit of a pickle. I live in Poland where buff rocks are practically non-existent. I got mine from a guy who imported his from Germany, but he doesn't do it anymore. The problem I have is that I don't have a buff rock rooster. I do, however, have access to white rock hatching...
I'm glad they are doing better, but the fact that the state hasn't gotten back to you is absolutely apalling. MG is a serious disease, but it is 100% curable. You have to give them some proper antibiotics, but for now you can give them some garlic juice water. Take one head, squeeze it and then...
