I could use your opinions...
2 weeks ago yesterday I had to euthenize my beloved Cream Legbar rooster due to severe frostbite.. well today I received my first 2 cream legbar eggs.. what are the chances of them being fertile?
Thanks for your opinons
Well I was mostly worried about their ability to walk and balance and less worried about show quality birds. They seem to be getting around better now.
looking from some advice--
I bought some black copper maran eggs off ebay (probably my first mistake) and they are hatching today. Most of these have deformities in their toes. The first one that hatched has fused 2nd and third toes. The others seem to have a short (nearly missing) outter...
Its day 6.so while checking for growth I noticed 1 egg set with air sac down and vessels on other end. (in my defense the breeder marked it that way)
Its had a great vessel structure and seems to be doing great. On day 6 should I flip it with fat side up or leave it as it is?
This post gives me hope. My Saltan was attacked yesterday. Her wounds seem to be much deeper (in the same area of the neck) and I almost put her down but She is doing okay today and drinking.
awe! give us a peek;) oh and the bandaid trick works great for helping them get up on their feet. I had a cute splayed leg last hatch and 3 days later she was running around with the rest!
