Will "aroma controlled cleaning vinegar" sprayed in a wooden brooder then left to dry work as a disinfectant. The wood is porous and in our house so I hesitate to use anything that'll have to be sprayed or rinsed out. We have food grade safe for consumption distilled from corn and diluted with...
No treats. They have been getting regular chick feed. Vitamin and electorlyte water until this morning. And choice chick grit because we were going to start doing treats in about 5 days when they were 4 weeks old.
I am finding green poops in the brooder of my 7 3 week old chicks as of this morning. A few of them at least have been doing so. Some are runny and some are a more normal consitancy. I started treating with Corid this morning in a different waterer than normal. It is possible they weren't...
One last question, just to make absolutely sure, since I have started them on the Corid this morning and everyone seems fine now, should I continue on with the 5 day treatment? As was said, if it is like an antibiotic, if they are okay (no coccidiosis) should the 4 days left continue?
I have a 3 week old chick who, when i changed out their waterer to a regular fowl drinker from a nipple waterer, drank ALOT of water, it started to come back up. We started them on the nipple waterer 5 days ago. She is Not drinking near as much now and now she seems completely fine. Her poops...
This might sound completely and utterly stupid on my end but now I worry it was the nipple waterers (?), maybe they were not getting enough water being 3 weeks old. Possibly why the slightly greenish brown poops? They seem to be getting a bit darker and more normal with time. It has only been 4...
Yes, I gave her food and water. She is still seperated though. Perched on my should for a bit, waiting for her to "go" again. We have been cleaning the brooder roughly every 3 days. I know I am asking for a lot of advice and thank you so much for providing
Just don't want to lose all my birds and yes she did drink a lot, she seems better just like the rest of them as well and I do not feel comfortable with holding water any longer but the greenish tinted poop I saw still has me hesitant.
The one that was spitting up a lot after drinking has not done so since I seperated her. Her poops are looking a tad more normal (smelly, like cecal) but her crop still feels like a water baloon. It was like none of the water was getting down. Just coming right back up.
