Definitely does, thanks so much! I *think* that's what I'm seeing with Tawny and Onyx - their smooth feathered sibling has feathers that just keep getting wider as they come out of the sheath whereas theirs remain as thin as the sheath they are protruding from.
I'm so excited!!!
Hey everyone!
Just hatched out my first set of babies this summer ☺️ I've got 6 little goobers in the brooder and I'm trying to figure out what their feather types might be. They're all Serama chicks and I received eggs that could've hatched out smooth, silkied, or frizzled! I know for sure...
Kinda dorky but my son and I collect rocks together 🤗 He got into minerals when playing Minecraft (he's only 7) and when I ordered him a real piece of amethyst, it just kicked the whole thing off. Now, we are constantly hunting for new rocks/minerals wherever we go. It's so much fun to get to...
My son in the middle, along with his twin best friends...and also some other kids 🤣
(*The boy and girl are the twins; they've got 2 of my Seramas and then the white Silkie on the right 😁)
Howdy BYC!
So I've got this awesome Serama rooster named Blue who is absolutely gorgeous now but wasn't always so...when he molted his down and started getting his juvenile feathers, he had a few bald patches and was kinda scraggly looking. It's my understanding and experience, however, that...
Looks like you're doing everything right so far! Cherish those moments when they're tiny cuz they become sex mature VERY fast. Mine successfully hatched their first clutch at 5 months old 🤦🏻♀️ Looks like you've got some interesting colors in there too! I have a lot of weird light colored ones...
I DO hide the rocks! I was part of the PittsburghRocks group on Facebook for a while. We'd post our creations and leave hints as to where they were. It was lots of fun and I got hooked when my son and I found a little Easter egg chicken rock the week of Easter outside a restaurant ☺️
SO many chicks to grow out until Spring! And of course my doofiest Silkie just started to crow 🤦🏻♀️ My neighbors already dislike me but this might send them over the edge 🤣
Oh you're in for a treat! It's a HUGE aggregate site of basically all the free patterns out there. I know how to knit but NOT crochet but I do know that they've got lots of Ravelry patterns linked as well as the free ones from Lion's Brand and the like. I hope you find it as essential a website...
Do you go to KnittingPatternCentral.com and CrochetPatterncentral.com?
They both have TONS of free toy patterns like the ones you've posted. They've even got Finn and Jake up there from Adventure Time and Bender from Futurama!
