Selling eating eggs. What prices do you charge?

Thank you all so much. I appreciate the information. $2 sounds pretty good for here. I am selling them a little cheaper to the lady down the road, but will keep her price the same. (only had enough for the two of us last year, this year I have plenty more and all of my hens arent laying yet...

I wasnt sure what area to post this in, if its in the wrong place, Im sorry. I am getting quite a few eggs. How much do ya'll sell a dozen for? My chickens are free pasture, large outbuilding that is never closed off, flresh straw and plenty of care. Eat a great diet. Layer, scratch, scraps, a...

    Chickens in Flower Beds

I have the same problem. We have to face the fact that sometimes the chickens are smarter than us. Mine have a 30 by 60 area of their own, clipped wings, and still getting fence flyers. You would think with plenty of grass, constant food and fresh water they would stay put, but noooo, they are...

I'm so happy!!!! The girls have started to really lay!!!

Congrats. R the green ones speckled or it is 'dirt'? Pretty. I have 11 so far today, might get a few more before nightfall. My e.e. prefer to lay later in the day for some reason. I am doing a happy dance myself over all the eggs, 10 plus a day this week, and not everyone is laying yet.

Large 3 inch by 2 inch egg!!! pic heavy

Mine seem fine. There wasnt even any blood on the egg. (which shocked the heck out of me) I was very suprised with this egg. I have had some big ones this year, but this one takes the cake. Funny thing though, the other big ones were nearly this size and only had one yold, LARGE yolk. I decided...

Can you identify this duck (fully feathered/1 year old)

Hey, if you lived closer I would trade you for the annoying geese. (I live in the boonies yet get a lot of peddlers here, peddling avon, religion, magazines, you name it) Maybe geese would keep them away. He would make pretty babies though. I hope a couple of my new ducklings are girls, or...

Is there a way to keep a duck brooder dryer?

Mine drink from a waterer. I let them have 'bath' time, but not open access to water all the time, except for drinking. (I lost two ducklings last year, they drowned somehow in their water tub, though I thought it was fairly easy for them to get in and out, I will not make that mistake again)...

    friendliest breed of duck?

My muscovy would eat from my hand. I have a duck that might be a call duck mix, pretty friendly. Pekins are friendly as well, just way too common for me, lol. I like something different. My khaki's were friendly.

    Different breeds breeding?

Quote: I have a teeny tiny little bantie cochin that breeds with the big girls all the time. He doesnt care at all. Like some kind of freak chicken rodeo. The only dumb questions are the ones we dont ask.

Can you identify this duck (fully feathered/1 year old)

Of course, I went outside to get the pic and he FLEW over the fence right after I took the pic. First time. I got ahold of him and the scissors. He wont be doing that again until he regrows those flight feathers. He is smaller than most ducks. Very short in stature. I got him in a surplus mix...

New feed store ducklings, anyone know what they are? (besides cute)

The top one, just so everyone knows, doesnt actually stand upright like he is doing in the pic. He is just really small and trying to balance in that one, doesnt walk upright like I have seen runners do. I was wirried whan I took the pics that everyone would think it was a natural pose, but he...
