    Wry neck Duck

Update on the ducks!! They are doing wonderfully! The only way to tell my little guy from all the others is that he is still just a tad bit smaller and seems to be about a week behind in feathering. I found a really good vitamin and electrolyte powder to put right in the water at my local...

    Wry neck Duck

Ok, so they did not like the mashed banana. With or without the herbs. Maybe I just have strange ducks. lol My little WryGuy is doing so much better! The only reason you can tell him apart from the others now is a small size difference that gets smaller and smaller everyday, it seems.

    Wry neck Duck

I actually saw results pretty quickly once I started the herbs, but had been adding Vitamin E and Selenium to the water for about a week before that, so overall I would say that it was probably almost 2 weeks. I did lots of cuddles and neck rubbing too. I am not sure how much time you have on...

    Wry neck Duck

I was quite discouraged at first, and he isn't 100% better, but he seems much happier. He can swim with the others, he "talks" like they do, They are going to be introduced to outside tomorrow, if it stays warm enough. I am so glad that I have gotten the chance to bond with this little guy! He...

They are the dried herbs. I put them in the water so it makes a tea and sprinkle some over their food.

I used basil, oregano, thyme, and sage. Seems to be working the best.

    Wry neck Duck

Today I am noticing a difference. I put some of the herbs from the good vitamin list in their water for the last few days. It makes like a tea as it sits and they seem to like the little pieces floating in the water.

Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

If I lived any closer I would take you up on the ducks!!! I'm thinking that a 5 hour car ride would not really be enjoyable for them though.

    Birdie Mama in Training

We have helped several friends and when I was a kid my grandma had guinea hens and chickens, so when we decided that we are moving out of the city, I decided that I want to have a small "farm". We are already used to planting a pretty big garden and we inherited a few other animals that had been...

    Wry neck Duck

I very recently got my first set of poultry to raise all on my own. I am the very proud mama of 5 Rhode Island Reds, 5 Bard Rocks, 5 White Leghorn, 5 Brown Tetras, 10 Black Sex Links, 12 Americanas, and 4 ducks. Now the chickens were gotten purely as a food source, we will be butchering some and...
