2 year old coturnix quail suddenly can't walk. One of his knee is swollen. What's happening?

WE GOTTEM! She was next to the cage with the male. Gottem! (She's starving!)

But how will the quail find the food? I'm not really sure. (He doesn't have a live trap for mice or anything like that.)
