I love my Silkies! They are smart enough to avoid the hawks that fly over and warn the rest of my flock of danger. I free range my flock all day and everyone comes running at dusk for treats and to be put up for the night.
My oldest hen is my Old English Game Hen. She is over 8 years old and still loves raising chicks, ANY chicks! She even raised Guinea keets one year. She's here for life!
