FWIW I had a White Rock with similar issue, I think from Mareks. I put her in a sling with two holes cut for the legs inside a rubber tub, fastened the sling to the sides of the tub with large binder clamps. This let her stand up and not make a mess of herself. She seemed to like it better...

She is fairly alert, free ranging, pecking other chickens if they bother her, but takes more rests, and...
Here are eggs from my new Black Copper Maran pullets. In the center is an egg from my 5 year old Minorca, and the small white egg is from OEG banty. They are soo tiny, but so cute! I *think* the lightest brown one is from my Welsummer pullet?
Thank you all for the help! I have always wondered what she was, but I am not familiar with Rocks. She is a big bird (in the back is my Minorca, Naomi) and her eggs look very much like the white rock eggs.

That is Naomi, a Minorca, She lays huge white eggs. Tends towards the dramatic but is a great forager. Big bird! The rooster that came from this group was drop dead beautiful. I lost her sister (and just nursed her though) a bout of egg binding (dunno if I am saying that right)...
Actually unidentified laying hen. Approx. 4/5 years old, yellow legs, orange eyes, horn (I think beak), lays light brown , lightly speckled eggs. SUPER mellow and fairly lazy. Seems not quite fluffy enough for a Wyandotte?
