OK thanks for the information. I also have 3 pullets that I raised from chick's. They hatched last March and have still not layed an egg. There is 2 Ameraucana and a naked neck.i can't figure out why they haven't layed

The BO just started laying, so I would guess almost a year and the buff brahma is just a tad older. And I have had these 2 for about 2 weeks

generic layer pellets is there a certain brand or one that you recommend

one of the two layed 1 egg about a week ago and hasn't layed since then,the buff orpington just started laying recently and right now we did have a foot of snow on the ground. It is now melting away there is now about 4 inches Is there any idea on why they are not laying more

Yeah but like I said they were on a free range farm do they are barely getting used to me.they are sweet though

At the farm she was on she had a friend which is my young buff orpington layer who just started laying. So when I picked her up, he gave me her buddy, so she is in with just her bud right now

Should their laying be better when spring comes
