She's laid an egg every day for five days now. I'm thinking that she is one of the darker variants of the Golden 300 mentioned on a few hatchery sites.

That's what I'm leaning towards, but she looked similar to the female on the left as a duckling, and she's significantly smaller and has a far less defined blue stripe on her flank when compared to our Rouen.

That's what I was thinking, but she had two facial stripes on each side (instead of one) as a duckling and she still has both of her complete back toes.

Any help sexing these two? I picked them up from Tractor Supply from the mixed ducks thinking that they wereboth Rouen ducks, and I can't tell if the smaller one with the darker head might be a hybrid or is just darker and smaller. The smaller one also has a slightly raspy quack, but I can only...
