Well, I understand now, why my hens were not laying - and at the time I thought adding light did the trick. Many people have been complaining and many home farm chicken girls were frustrated with the hens not laying. I started mixing an expensive all flock with the bad feed and adding cracked corn, as well as giving kale and bread for snacks - and then the girls started laying again.
