Pros: Calm, quiet,
Cons: poor feed conversion
I just love my brahma's (Hens: 2 light, 1 buff, 1 dark; Roos: 3 dark). The hens are as sweet as can be and are the first ones to greet me when I am in the run. I imagine that is because I almost always have goodies and they really like to eat. I make sure they get plenty of exercise so they don't get fat. My roos are friendly with me, but can be a little aggressive with kids if they don't have a place on the pecking order yet (there is that potential with all roos though). The boys have fended off hawks and dogs (3 really giant roosters that are always together make quite an impression I guess). I don't get a ton of eggs from these hens, but they make up for it in sheer size of eggs (can't fit them in the jumbo cartons). I am not sure if this is typical or not.

They are a joy to look at with their big fluffiness bobbing across the yard.

Leroy, our head rooster in charge (well cockerel until april, I can't believe he isn't done growing yet)
