Hi I am a younger teen looking to start a hobby farm here at my house in CT. I don't have a ton of money to start off with and I was looking for chickens/coop,fencing,livestock, and other farm supplies. Please let me know if anybody has anything they are trying to sell.
Thanks,Nate
Yes thank you for pointing that I out I started this thread and erect soy is talking in ti but no one is really saying to mich about how their actual incubating process turned out.
well my egg incubating adventure did not turn out well this time. Only one of my chicks hatched and after trying to fix his straddle leg and toes he ended up drowning last night in his chick waterer that barely had any water in it. After i took the rest of the 23 eggs out of the incubator i...
Well out of all my eggs I only had one chick hatch a sliver layced wyndotte, one of its leg is traded and has some problem with its toes I am trying to fix them I hope it ends up making it since it was stuck in its egg for two days.
Today I noticed my chick that pipped two days ago was still moving but had not made it out of the egg yet. I took the ff out and helped the chick out and it was still alive and peeping but it was definately stuck . I put it back into incubator to finish drying out I hope that it survives.
One of my chicks peeped yesturday Mormon and started to break through shell it has still not hatched yet and has not come out of shell. Should I be worried that it is stuck for some reason?
Cool I think it is so cool to watch chicks that were just hatched learning what there food and surroundings are. I can't wait to see my chicks hatch and watch them, maybe I will try to set up a webcam in my brooder too.
Just this morning when I woke up I saw one of my eggs was cracked through a little and I heard a chick peep. Now I don't see it trying to get out anymore so should I just leave it alone and see I'd it works its was out?
