Should I remove eggs from my goose's nest?

Thanks livininbrazil. I did the same thing last year (incubated 12 eggs on my own) and she did go broody (she sat on 14 eggs), but unfortunately the eggs weren't fertile last year. Do you think that having too many eggs in the nest may cause her not to go broody (this year)?

Should I remove eggs from my goose's nest?

I have a single goose (and a gander). My goose lays an egg every other day. I took the first 10 eggs and hatched them (and got 7 goslings). As for the rest, I intended to let her hatch them. She kept laying eggs and now she has already 23 eggs (some of which are nearly 50 days old). She didn't...

I've incubated duck eggs in the past and wanted to know if there's any difference between the two (except that goose eggs being bigger ). I incubate at about 45% 99.5F and 80% 98.5F at...

    Fertile?

I think this egg is fertile, but I want to make sure it is before I stick a bunch of those into the incubator and end up throwing them away after a week (as I did a month ago :() Thanks

    I lost 27 quails :hit

BigDaddy'sGurl : Yeah, I've never heard of success in throwing something so small as a quail in with something so large as a turkey... if they weren't raised together, any larger bird will kill a quail. I added chicken chicks several times having no problem. I also watched the quails for a...

    I lost 27 quails :hit

Quote: Bronze turkey with coturnix quials. I might have introduced too many at one shot. I'm growing the quails separately now, I read that the quails can catch a diseases from the chickens, so they might be better raised separately.

    I lost 27 quails :hit

I had 40 almost four week old quails, they were fully feathered so I took them out to the coop. I have chickens, turkeys, ducks geese and guinea fowls all living together. I never had any problem. I took out the quails and when I checked on them I saw a turkey hen killing one, I shooed her away...

My 3 week oturnix quail is soaking wet

My 3 week coturnix quail is soaking wet, he jumped into a watering dish that was left open, I don't know how long he was there. I dried him using a towel and put him in the incubator, anything else I can do? do you think he'll survive? Thanks
