Bumblefoot is an infection that sets into the foot from things like slivers, jumping down on rough or hard surfaces etc. The foot becomes swollen and infected and if not treated can kill them.
I bought a 6'x8' Shed off Kijiji and it will arrive Sunday. I live in Calgary, Alberta so we get some brisk weather in the winter (OK it can get down right nasty) and hot days in the summer. I think I have a decent spot for it with the back facing North. It has a single door and opening window...
Here are a couple pictures of Betty. Wondering if she's an Ameracauna or just a mutt hen or ?? She's lovely and gives me 6 eggs a week. Sweet and friendly disposition but definately top hen and stays close to her Too.

Thanks. That's Betty and probably my favorite and most friendly. She's a beautiful hen. We are in a terrible deep freeze right now and I'm worried about them but so far they are managing. -22 with wind chill -35
Thanks everyone for your help. I will try to get better picks of the other girl to see if anyone can tell what she might be. If she's a mutt it doesn't matter cause she's probably my favorite. Thanks again.

The white has the cheek feathers like the grey so I think they are the EE. The lady who sold me them said the rooster was an Ameracauna but I'm not sure that's right. But what do I know.
