Hello!
I’m from Eugene and looking for some pullets, about 6ish weeks old.
If I could find silkies, that would be great but I’m kind of just looking to see what’s out there.
Willing to drive outside of eugene too
Hi!
We’re thinking about moving to Wyoming but would be taking our chickens with us. I’m having trouble finding updated information on the ordinances for backyard chickens in Wyoming by city. Are backyard chickens generally allowed in every city?
Hi!
We’re thinking about moving to Wyoming but would be taking our chickens with us. I’m having trouble finding updated information on the ordinances for backyard chickens in Wyoming. I found that they’re allowed in Cheyenne but other than that I haven’t seen much. Does anyone know?
No worries. I incubated a dozen eggs I received from a local breeder. 11 went into lockdown and 11 hatched and survived. My temp was 99-100 in a forced air incubator, humidity was 35-40 percent until lockdown, and then I raised it to 60-70 percent.
This is terrible...is there something that could have affected their gender during incubation? The odds of ending up with this many boys seems unlikely.
I have several Marans and olive eggers cockerels that I can't keep. I have black and grey ones, and they all have feathered feet. I am in Oregon but I am willing to drive a bit to find them a new home.
I have 11 Copper Marans and Olive Eggers. I am suspicious that several of them are boys, but I am really hoping I'm wrong on a few of them. They are just over 4 weeks old, and I know it may be a bit early to tell but at least one has started crowing already.

I have 11 chicks I hatched about a month ago, but at least one of them started crowing last week. I have marans and olive eggers, and I suspect about 5 are roosters. However, I was surprised at how early the crowing started and I wanted to know if that’s typical of marans? If they mature faster...
I didn’t breed them, but i think the seller used a Marans rooster and either and Easter Egger or olive Egger hen. Are the combs distinguishable when they’re so young?
I hatched Marans and olive Eggers about a week ago, but I can’t tell who is which breed. They all look similar to me, black and gray/silverish and all but one has feathered feet. I do have pictures of a few of them that I’ve attached. Is there a way to distinguish the two breeds?
My last egg just hatched, and it seems to be having trouble getting up and walking. It’s let doesn’t look like it’s in a natural position. The toes are also a bit unnatural looking.
