I've found the best/easiest thing for me is just putting my chicks in a plastic tub that has a heating pad under one side of it. Puppy piddle pad inside that I change out whenever it is soiled.

I have a little Banty rooster who's not been thriving. I think perhaps his beak has grown too long. I am wondering if trimming it would be a good thing. Not sure why his beak has suddenly become a problem... it isn't like it has always been this way.

Enrofloxacin (Baytril) seems to be what might be recommended for the type of infection I might be dealing with? Anyone have any experience with it?

Talked to a friend of mine who is a vet and she recommended hydrotherapy... spraying wound for 10 min twice a day with a hand sprayer... to stimulate regrowth of tissue.
