Two days in a row I have got an egg, white in color and lots of bumps, size is good.
All my birds are brown layers.
Having abnormal eggs is not uncommon to me, but thought I would ask.
Other chickens and eggs are normal.
Is something wrong with the Chicken or is it just a phase?
All are acting...
With noise complaints, RTF act or not, you will lose.
If they only have a problem at night, insulate (sound proof as best you can) your coop to help muffle the noise. let the Zoning Officer know that you are taking steps to minimize the noise, also talk to your neighbor.
I now you don't want to...
When there exists a discrepancy in the Ordinance, the law favors the Homeowner.
Also, as I stated before, check the revision to see if anything was added.
If they added (d) and you had them prior to the enactment of the new Ordinance, you are grandfathered.
PS (I am a Zoning Officer in PA)...
Ask again for the definition of "farm animals".
Also, it appears the Ordinance was revised on 12/7/10. Ask to see the Ordiniance that this replaced to see if they added (d) or language to (d).
Maybe I missed it, but were you cited or receive a written Notice of Violation?
Get a copy of your particular zoning district information (the district in which your property is located). You can request it under the freedom of information act, but they do have five days in which to respond to your request.
If the Zoning Officer has a clue, he will give it to you right...
It does not matter what the Mayor thinks, feels or has a personal opinon about. It depends what the Ordinance says. If they are saying you have "farm animals", read the definition and see if "chickens" are in the definition located in the Ordinance.
Also, they cannot pass a "new" ordinance and...
I have been thinking about solar a light for the winter to prolong the daylight feeling, but I wonder if a light being on all night would bother them or alter behavior?
Three young Golden Buffs (red sex links)
So I have gotten some strange eggs lately, some huge double yokers, some almost white eggs, but this is a first.
This morning my daughter said that an egg was laid in the run, almost white in color. I didn't think much of it as it seemed fine. All three...
Hi Totalcolour, question for you.
So I thought I was ready to bottle a batch of Syrah that has been sitting in a secondary for about 8 weeks. (again, my directions tell me to bottle)
I noticed today that it is still giving off tiny air bubbles, very slowly, but they are there.
There is a little...
Thanks for the info. I will definitely download the book. Most of the batches I have made have been from the ready-to-go 6 gallon juice buckets. Last year, I made a batch of Strawberry from scratch, just followed the recipe, it had a slight kick. I am going to make another batch of Strawberry...
You certainly have the knowledge! I am fairly new at it, so I will ask your advice. My wine has been a bit strong, even after sitting for a few months.again, my process is first to add the nutrient and Campdne tabs, wait at least 24 hours then pitch the yeast. Stir gently for a week, transfer to...
When in the primary, (white bucket) i leave my lid loose after pitching the yeast. i stir it very gently every day for a week. Then rack into the secondary, that is when you need the airlock. I have done it that way for a long time and never had a problem. When I started making wine, that is...
If you need feed, better get it quick. Prices going up soon, if not already in your area due to drought.
