    I think the 4x4x6 dog pen would work to house them for the first 10 months or so then you should put them in something at least 10x6

    Hey that looks great! When we moved to our new home in the country I turned an old shed into one of my chicken coops an I also built two runs onto two rooms of an old trailer that the previous owners left and made two more pens. Cool to see someone else doing something similar!

    I like to use milk crates as nest boxes filled almost completely with hay as the hens will compress they hay down to their liking and sometimes they will go all the way to the bottom if you don't have enough hay.
