Why did my chick die?

I had a silkie chick that is a was a little over 2 months old that died last night. I noticed yesterday that it was very inactive, just sitting and kinda drawed up. And occasionally and without warning it wouldl go into a fit of running, squawking, and shaking its head. I have no idea what was wrong with it. Any ideas on what may have happend to it?

Sounds like wry neck or swelling of the brain which is why it passed i had a silkie roo die from it to.
