Just bought 18 chicks from TSC and they seem to be really healthy. 1st time with Amber links.

I am thinking of going to the next swap. Is it worth the drive from Little Rock? Are there motels nearby? When they say camping do they mean port-o-potties?

Ticks for sure! They are also quite the little gardeners. They love to eat weed seeds!!!

I have a cuckoo maran roo that I hatched and I guess kept in the house too long because he doesn't care for chickens! He is crazy about my pygmy goat and sleeps on her back! And Katy bar the door when my daughters rat terrier/beagle goes out into the field, Chuck Taylor (my roo) runs and jumps...

Remember those people in FL who were b****in about having too many peacocks living in there town? I only wish I could look outside and see something so beautiful!

The rain here in Little Rock cooled things down quite a bit. My chickens, goat, emu, and ducks are all having a great time!

I know exactly how you feel. I've had more than my share of attacks by neighbors stray dogs. Now I live in a fortress of 6ft privacy fencing due to a lack of responsiblity by my neighbors and the absolute sorriest dog pound in the world.

I agree my leghorns lay far mor eggs than any of my other breeds. When I sell eggs people always want brown eggs so I sell those and keep the white eggs for myself. I can't taste any difference.

Get a gas x gell cap. Poke a hole in it with a pin and squirt it in her mouth at the back of the throat so she has to swallow it. This has saved goats for me.
