Is there an average time it takes for most Barred Rock pullets to feather out? I plan to keep them inside until they are feathered, as I'd read once they are feathered then they can move out to the coop. Is this ok?

Soon to be new chick mama here researching food for the girls. I have feed stores and Fleet Farms and other smaller farm stores in the area. Has anyone used Fleet Farm "Sprout" chicken feed and liked how their girls do on it? Do the eggs taste yummy, are the girls healthy? Thanks!
