I was a member about 5-6 years back and loved this site! Well, we were relocated to the city for jobs and worked everyday to return to our farm. It took 5 years to get back but this summer we moved back to our mini-farm and the first thing we did was get some chickens...
I am having trouble keeping my humidity right for hatching. I have pipping but the membranes are white and hard. My humidity is running at 45 unless I put hot water in. I dont want to ruin my hatch by opening the 'bator to deliver hot water all the time.

Does anyone wing clip their chickens? I have a few hens who have decided to fly out of our coop. We are trying to decided on clipping wings or covering with netting.
If you clip how often do you need to do it? Is it good at stoopping them from flying? Can they still get up to their roost?

Hello everyone. I just found this board.
We are in Chapel Hill NC. We have had chickens for awhile and really love them.
In addition to chickens we have 2 dogs, 7 cats , 8 horses and 3 kids.
