Hi all my last two chicks to hatch have long thin dry tails (assuming yolk sack) what to do, i am worried they will peck at each other.. the very last one was still stuck to the shell i followed along until i found the end and broke the shell around the dry tail whatt to do?? dampen and see if...

i decided to keep it in the brooder box, i already have one rejected on in there from the last hatch, so i figure there is no difference between brooding one or 2 (or 3 as it looks like it may be one other egg hatching now)

Hen on eggs, 2 hatch day 21 + 22, day 23 hen and chicks go off the nest leaving remaining 3 eggs, i notice mid arvo this, then tap and listen one egg cheeping, i come back after dark to see if hen returns to nest, but does not (assuming because 2 chicks can not quite get back home) however 3...

so yesterday hen was happy with chick, kept an eye on it throughout the day, alway near by, but not with other chickens are they are a bit bigger, and this mroning, went to check, it was by itsself but when we went near it we were attacked, but then i went back to have a closer inspection just...

Hi... So i had a hen on eggs, she hatched 8 (1 died after hatch) and 1 egg which i always felt was slower developing did not hatch around day 19/20 with the rest, the hen took her chicks off the nest for a quiter location away from the flock, leaving the unhatched egg), it hatched today at day...

Hi all two of my young roos both have big gash on one leg each, both swollen foot, reluctant to walk, one is worse and he sits with his wing out, can't see any wing damage, and ides, is this from fighting that they both got a similar leg injury, treatment ideas, I am spaying the antibiotic spray...

thanks, i am going to wait itl he crows before finding him a home if he is a he, other one crowed 2 weeks ago (as well as all the other roos in that hatch)

A Friend sent me this picture, i see they have different comb shapes, so i shall keep him/her until he/she crows or lays an egg

This is him/hopefully her but not likely today 2/1/15 and this is his/her brother a few days ago see the brother has yellow legs too??? i will post some pics of them younger
