There seem to be some differing opinions on Ameraucana egg color. Some do not consider green egg layers to be true descendants of the rumpless Chilean Araucana. But indeed, egg color is not considered in the U.S. for show birds. http://www.heritagepoultry.org/learn/ameraucana.htm

I don't think your blues should have the penciling. It's pretty though.

No beard/muff = not Ameraucana Green egg = not Ameraucana White egg = not Ameraucana unless bird is older and just losing blue egg color

We do ours with oatmeal and some chick feed. Originally we followed instructions that say they need moisture from fruits or veggies but even a somewhat dry piece of carrot almost always started mold in the oats and the mold is your enemy. Perhaps for us it is the Florida humidity. If you get it...

My birds gobble up crumbles soaked with Corid/water. It gets it in them and hydrates....just a tip..

I have an old 1602 with no turners. I added a large pc fan that works best if it is blowing "UP" towards the wafer. Sometimes it seems like the temp is all over the map and who remembers to turn eggs perfectly? But the last one I did, I got 100% hatch. Now it's just a back up for the digital.

I bought one that was supposedly only used once and had the same issues. I bought a new wafer and added a cheapo fan. For the fan, you can get a $5.00 computer fan and power it with an old cell phone charger. I used a very small one that just lays on the mesh pointed up towards the lid. Cheap fix.
