    Thanks so much for your reply. The pullets are almost 7 weeks old. Is that a bit early for lash? I am pretty sure that's what it must be—I cut it open, and there are layers upon layers surrounding a pasty brown substance. And boy, does it smell foul! Worried about them laying lash so early...

    I am looking to become a first-time chicken owner and have just moved to Englewood, Colorado. From what I can find online, there is no maximum on the number of chickens one can keep. Does anyone know any other details? Is an agricultural animal permit required? Thank you!
