Oh! True! The mess. It's always the mess with ducks, isn't it?! LOL
We are building the coop so it's easy enough to build in a contained rabbit space -- maybe raise it up with a ramp so it could sit above the ducks, inside the same shelter.
(We're thinking about a Flemish Giant so it will...
We are starting our duck flock this spring.
We would like to add a rabbit~ considering a Flemish Giant~ but not more than one, because no matter which way you mix them you have fights or babies! LOL

Hi!
We have decided to embark on ducks for eggs (and pets ;) ).
We have ordered day olds for mid-April:
~ 3 Khaki Campbell hens
~ 3 cayuga hens, 1 drake
~ 3 black Indian Runner hens
~ 3 buff hens, 1 drake
I am reading and learning, but would love to hear your best advice for newbies...
we plan...
We are pretty much decided on doing a Woods Open Air coop for our flock-to-be.
We live in Northern Ontario.
Just trying to sort out dimensions.
Woods suggests not scaling down below 12 ' , but he also says that hens need less space than closed coops.
Our plan is to have them in the open air...
Interesting! Thank you -- I really value hearing how different folks approach it.
We just have black bears, I believe! Auto correct made my bears brown LOL
Hi!
We are planning for chickens this spring (about 12 laying hens ). We are still gathering info to build our coop and yard. The coop will be in a one acre fenced area (sheep fence-- not intended as a predator barrier, just happens to be there!) and close to the house (for winter electricity)...
