We are pretty much decided on doing a Woods Open Air coop for our flock-to-be.
We live in Northern Ontario.
Just trying to sort out dimensions.
Woods suggests not scaling down below 12 ' , but he also says that hens need less space than closed coops.
Our plan is to have them in the open air coop much of the time and free range in the fenced yard when possible.
(So a yard/coop ratio doesn't really apply, but I don't know what type of space the open air set up will need)?
We are planning on 12-15 laying hens (med/large breeds).
I assume the same suggestions for roosting and nesting boxes applies?
