I think someone on the SCNA Forum called the pattern Tri-Colored Speckled then someone told me not every pattern has a name so I really don't know. If someone does know for sure and can let me know that would be great.

Solo is the name of my pullet. I don't think she has much in the type department to show off but as we know Serama's are judged as well on temperament and this is where she shines. She's so special to me because she is my first hatched serama chicken. The only one to hatch out of 25 eggs. I...
Today I looked for moving mites and lice but didn't see anything.
Could this just be feather plucking? Or is this something more?
The other serama in with her does not pick at her. I took a better picture today.
The wire is coated half inch wire. The birds themselves never pick on each other. My serama's are 12 oz and they are seven months old so they are very tiny. The cage is four feet by two feet with perches.
I'm just worried it's mites or something.
Yesterday I discovered a hard swollen area on my silked serama's tail. There was some missing tail feathers with an ulcerated sore. She doesn't seem to pick at it a lot. She is kept in a cage with another serama that seems alright. They are seven months old raised inside since three months old...

Hi Lisa,
I own three seramas which are kept in my house as pets. Two which I bought at three months and one I hatched out six weeks ago.
I call her solo since she was the only egg to hatch out of 25. She came from a breeder on the SCNA forum. The only thing I know about this egg is it...
I saw this white headed sparrow today and took a few shots. The pics are not so good since the bird was far away but you can see it's a sparrow with a lot of white in it. Has anyone ever seen a sparrow other then brown?

Slideshow...
If anyone has a picture of a mature bird of this color/pattern and can post it I would be interested in seeing it.

LOVED IT!!!!!!!
Specially the pictures of the chicken that lost the contact lens and the one complaining about the poop.
You must of taken tons of pictures to get those great shots.
I would love to see more.

On Friday out of 25 serama eggs only one hatched. I called him/her "Solo" I was wondering by the down if anyone can tell what color he/she might end up being.
The breeder said it came from his white pen but I was hoping he/she would have a little color and not be solid white...

Today I had one serama chick hatch out of 25 eggs. I bought a feather duster to keep him company. I hope it works. I have two five month old serama's but their probable to old.
Good Luck with yours.

Oh No!!! I got them from Jerry Schexnayder from Louisiana. The guy who imported Serama chickens to this country, the guy who formed the SCNA. If he can't tell hens from a roos at three to four months (that's when I received them) then who can? Daisy better not turn out to me a roo...
Here are the latest pictures of Daisy and Delilah. They are indoor chickens. They will be five months in August. Here they are meeting my cat Dusty for the first time.
Dusty is 16 and doesn't really care to much about them. Serama's are so friendly.
I just love these girls...

Tess is where I got my diapers from but she does not do custom. She told me to pin them but that does not work for me. Maybe they will grow into them but I wish I had something now.
