I know they do but she just seems like she’s still uncomfortable. She lays down a lot, stands often huddled up in a ball. Last fecal sample had thousands of coccidia. This time, maybe 10-15 that I could see. So it’s greatly improved. I just don’t know what else could be wrong if it’s not that.
I did direct doses for several days until I saw improvement and then just in the water afterwards. BUT I just remembered my silly husband inaccurately measured the water when I tasked him with medicating them, and he was giving them more along the lines of the preventative dose instead for the...
I have a chick that has been dealing with Coccidiosis for over a week. We did Corid in the water for 7 days. She’s better but not 100%. She’s still puffed up and looking a little uncomfortable. I looked at her droppings under a microscope so I know coccidia was the problem. There was a LOT. What...
Hi there! I have a hatchery quality Cochin and I just wanted to see what color you guys think she is. Splash, Mottled or just “leakage”? She’s kind of blue, kind of white. Her brother was lavender/self blue and another brother was splash with only a few colored feathers. Thanks in advance!
Hello! I’m new to Wyandottes and I only have 1. This one is almost 5 weeks old. Supposed to be a pullet but I have no idea. I just watched some very “rooster” behavior come out of her. The wattles scare me too. If she is a roo, she’s gotta go. Tell me it’s not so lol!
Here’s some updated and better pictures! First is the more boyish one and the second is the pullet. The pullet actually redder than the one with the bigger comb. Both are still unchanged days later.
It definitely too soon for at least the last 2 pics to tell gender but the first 3 pics, if they’re all different birds, are all looking like boys to me!
Really hard to tell with these pictures. Maybe try to get up close pictures of their heads with combs visible. But based on these pictures, no obvious roosters!
I vote roo! I just had to get rid of 3 out of 4 of my Silkies because they were boys. Looked similar to this one at the same age. I only had 1 girl and she barely has a comb at 7 weeks old.
I have these two Jerseys I got from TSC. Im unsure of their age because they had quite a few feathers when we bought them. Based on when they come in at the store they’d only be 3, almost 4 weeks old, but knowing how chickens feather, they’d be closer to 5, almost 6, meaning they were still...
24 hours later and he seems both perkier and more sluggish at the same time. He has no problem fighting me when I scoop him up, no problem eating, no problem kicking shavings into the water every time I leave the room after cleaning it out, but he’s still very much hunched up and doesn’t do much...
