Today my chickens layed their first eggs . . .except they were so high up they all smashed and the chickens ate the yolks. Any ideas about making sure they lay in the nesting boxes?

I try my best to name my chicks weird but awesome names. My four faves(in order) are The Dark Lord Sauron (he's evil! I was so mad at him yesterday . . .), Odin One-Eye, King Solomon Crusoe the 45th and Dumblepeeps. Does anyone else have creative chick names?

My americoona chick(Odin) got an eye infection while she was relativley young and now(five weeks later) her eye is sometimes all the way closed and sometimes her eye is open with a guasey substance spread over it! I don't think she can see out of the eye. We have been swabbing it with water but...
