Ok...this is likely a strange question...but, can you breed a splash with a white and get a partridge? This is Booboo and she looks just like some of your patridge babies! The picture with the 3 are some of my 2 mo old white/splash babies that also look partridge. [/IMG][/IMG]

I just started my second batch of eggs from Garry farm. I am beyond thrilled with the first batch! My babies are about 2 weeks old. They have beautiful poofy heads. :-)[/IMG]
Here is my brooder. It's approx 2'x5' and is divided with 2 older chicks on the left side and 9 (was 10) on the right side. The thermostat is midway in the back and reads 90% (I keep the middle covered with a towel to keep it 90.

I have a similar problem, and couldn't figure out how to start a new thread. I had 10 6-day old chicks and one of them died. It looks like it was maybe squashed under a chick pig pile. Is that possible? Can that be avoided? There is a lot of room in there...so, I don't know why this happened.
So, despite the power outage, I still had a very successful hatch and now have 10 new healthy Silkie chicks! And they are beautiful. Couldn't be happier. Thank you Garry Farm!
We had a 3.5 hour power outage last night due to the snow storm. We moved the eggs up in front of the fireplace, but could only get it to about 90 degrees in the box. It was between 80-90 the whole time. Hoping for the best. They are now on lock down and expected on Thursday. I hope we didn't...
