I have a large BLack Giant Rooster.
when I go in the coop at feeding times he will walk around and emit this loud growling noise.
He is never agressive, but when he's behind you and you hear what sounds like a large coon growling it is rather unsettling.
What is he saying?

How to live in a world that's politically correct?

Any one know anything about Turkey ducks?
Would they be ok in my chicken coop, or would they harrass the chickens or vice versa?
A buddy of mine just called me and sain some one abandoned 4 of them at his place. He has 40 acres and they were wandering around in his yard when he got home.

I have ten of these I got in from a hatchery.
I suspect they are cuckoo leghorns, because I ordered ten brown layers, and ten white layers. I know I have ten amber sex links. So the ambers are the brown layers.
So, the question is, do you think these are cuckoo leghorns,
or cuckoo marans. I...
My chickens are free ranging during the day. When I fed starter /grower feeds they would eat all of what I put out in the am before I got home from work. Now they are about 19 weeks, and I have switched to Layer ration. They hardly eat.
I put the same amount out in the am, and only one of three...
