Fox can’t get into coop, but keeps returning

This is my fox den, and is less than 50 yds from the coop/run. It's been here well over a year and this is the 2nd year of a litter. I have trail cameras back there and the one time of day I do not see them is mid afternoon, BUT they are deffinately out while my chickens free range. I do have a...

Maybe I missed it, but did you say that you saw the fox attack? I'd be curious to know what time of the day this was. I do have fox near me.

Deep litter method in shed coop/poop boards?

I do exactly the same and I would definitely use poop boards as far as shavings, I buy bales of wood chips/shavings at either farm & Fleet or a local feed store. I used a piece of vinyl flooring left over from the floor of the coop to line the poop board with.

Bigzio, good luck turkey hunting. I've got the 2nd season. TOR, where in the world do you buy soldier flys? learn something new everyday. I picked up 4 new,1 year old hens on Sunday. They are still staying apart some. It will take a while. I had 9, so added 4. I also put up some fencing for them...

What supplies do I need to start raising turkeys? Probably start with 6. They will be babies, so--- I have a 6X8 shelter that's not totaly ready yet. I have chickens nearby with their own coop and run. They do free range. I have an extra 5 gal waterer, but not sure on feeder for once they are...

Sorry to hear about your car and my condolences for your working at the capital, but don't you think that it would be better viewing in the country? I'm not really sure how much we will be able to see here. On another note: Anyone raise turkeys around here? I'm thinking about it but very unsure!

Nutrena owns the mill where F&F feed is made and I agree. It is the other mill that I tried that is the problem, and I also have a mill several miles away that also grinds their own feed and it is also fine. I've tried it before and I do have a bag to try again, so knowing how to ferment the...

OK, Maybe a little weird, quoting myself. But the jury's in! all the fine brown stuff in the new feed is on the board underneath the feeder, and they're not eating it. So when this is done, it's done and I'm back to Farm Fleet crumbles plus the egg laying really is suffering right now. Always...

I love the colors you did! I have a chandelier like that, but it doesn't have the bottom glass. It's just the top row. I took it down When I got some antler chandeliers. It's on a shelf somewhere waiting for someone to give it a loving home.

I'd be interested in learning how to build your bucket feeder. If you don't want to post it on here, send me a private message if you don't mind.

The new feed that I got, some of it's pretty fine and I have that feeder in the run which is sand and I could see that this feed was mixing with the sand so I cut a 2 foot by 3 foot board made kind of 2 inch rail around it and put it under the feeder to see how much was going on the ground...

Somebody I talked to yesterday told me they saw a robbin, But I haven't seen one out there. And today definitely didn't feel like Spring. I'll be doing the same thing this week. Cleaning out the coop, getting rid of all the bedding and putting new in. Twice a year, spring and fall. I gave once a...
