Please help. Chicken foot issues...need diagnosis and ideas for cure...

Thank you. I have no idea how long it has been going on. She let me catch her today - but I didn't take a picture. Going to order some sprays, try the petroleum jelly for the mites, and then hope that cleaning and using the spray will help if it is bumblefoot. :(

Please help. Chicken foot issues...need diagnosis and ideas for cure...

Hi. I will have to try and catch them. Was trying to figure out how I was going to do that to treat them anyway. We usually have very healthy chickens. Have not had any problems like this is probably 10 years.

Please help. Chicken foot issues...need diagnosis and ideas for cure...

Hi, My husband has been taking care of the chickens for awhile now. I just went out and notices two of my chickens feet do not look right. I have no idea what it is or what to do. Any help would be appreciated. There are two different chickens' feet here - my rhode island red and buff orpington...

HELP PLEASE Baby chick deformed foot

Thank you so much! Believe it or not, I had everything needed to make a second coop to put the chick by herself. I made her a shoe and a band with vet tape to keep her legs together more so her leg wouldn’t splay out. She keeps pecking at the shoe and brace, but she stands up a lot better. How...

HELP PLEASE Baby chick deformed foot

Thank you so much. Do I need to buy special vitamins? If it is a pill, how do I give it to her? She puts her leg out to the side a lot. The leg itself looks fine. The ankle joint looks a little bigger and the toes don’t seem like she has control of them like the other foot. Thank you so much for...

HELP PLEASE Baby chick deformed foot

We just received our baby chicks in the mail. One of them has a deformed or broken foot. I need to know if there is anything I can do for it. It doesn’t look like the curled toes that I have seen as a problem. Please see pics and video. I cannot figure out how to attach the video. 😩 Thank you...

Need help - should I put two broody hens together

Do you think it is mean that the other broody hen never gets to be with any of her chicks? I feel so bad. I can't imagine someone taking away my baby after I birthed him/her! :(

Need help - should I put two broody hens together

Hi! Sorry if this info is already in the forum. I had a hen go broody. She hatched three chicks and then abandoned the other 10+ eggs. I always move my hen and her chicks to a smaller coop so the other chickens don't hurt them. I marked the eggs and moved them to another hen who went broody who...

Two Broody Hens with Eggs - Help!

Hi! I am brand new to broody hens and hatching chicks. We had a hen go broody - so we got a rooster to help keep our flock going. Then we had another hen go broody. We really don't have a ton of space (or money - chickens are expensive!!) - so I planned to just leave my broody hens in the coop...

I wasn't sure how to add another picture so I just replied to my own post. Here is a better picture of his other side.

What is this on my rooster's comb and waddles?

Hi. I just bought this rooster. I can't seem to find anything that exactly matches what I see on him. I can rub it off if I do it gently with a paper towel, but it does not come off easily - and leaves a reddish mark on the paper towel - reminiscent of a blood stain?? He seems completely...

Hawk - What can we do in Michigan?

Hi. We just had our first hawk siting. It was definitely hunting our chickens who were all huddled in our garage overhang. What are the laws in Michigan about shooting hawks? I don't know where to look. We just started letting our chickens free range about a week ago - and I am a bit freaked out...

New Chicken Owner in Michigan - How to keep them warm in winter?

Hi! I know there are several posts on this - but I really couldn't figure out how to join that conversation. I am very new to posting. Sorry. We live in Michigan and have 15 Rhode Island Reds. We have a wood coop that is off the ground with an attached run. The coop has a window - but no other...
