Thanks, I remember seeing them everywhere in 2018-19. Now everyone I’ve talked to has either got out of the color in general or they were taken by predators. Luckily, I don’t mind waiting.
ISO quality black laced gold orpington pair. Prefer older than 4months but willing to consider younger. Located in Montvale, VA but willing to travel depending on distance. Please PM me with price, location and pictures if you have some available.
That's good to know. We planned on putting it in the woods so it would be shaded in the summer. The AC was more for back up in case it got too hot. Are your incubators digital?
Thank you PD-Riverman for your reply. Sadly the house we live in isn't insulated (old house) or we would use a bedroom. Reason why we thought about building an insulated shed to house the incubator and brooder. Nothing really big, just one cabinet incubator. We live in VA so during the summer...
Does anyone have a shed or building just for incubating and hatching? I've searched online but all I found was converting a shed into a coop. We are thinking of building a small shed to house the incubator and brooder as we don't have anywhere to put one and my boyfriend wants the chicks out of...
Wondering if anyone can tell me their experience.Hoping to get bantam/LF cochins for possible broodies. Was seeing if it made a difference if they were bought from a hatchery or breeder? Not looking for breeding purposes only good broody hens.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone on here could help me figure out if these were pullets or cockerel. They are 8weeks old barred rock. Not sure if they can be sexed this early or not. Any help would be appreciated,
Okay thanks so much for the replies everyone. We bought 6 but sold the other 4 a few months back. We only kept these 2 because my boyfriend liked their coloring. But now we thought about selling them and get a breed we actually want. I wanted to make sure of their breed just in case we do decide...
They were bought from tractor supply as Ameraucanas. They said they got their chicks from Mcmurray hatchery if I remember correctly. And I thought I read that their Ameraucanas were not purebred but not sure?
After looking at several pictures of the Ameraucana I didn't think that's what they were. I thought about keeping them and waiting to see the egg color.
