My 12 bantie baby's spent there first night outside last night.... they are living it! My big ol'girls are so ok mad... all ten of them were sleeping in the little co-op. The babies are loving being able to scratch in the shavings and dirt. And got there very first taste of scratch grains today...

We used to have this big white roo named Merlin. And his 4 rir hens where simply Merlins girls. Now we have Bob and Christine (named after my step dad and his gf...lol). Plus 12 commercial chickens with no names...thinking of food names....jk And 12 assorted bannies awaiting names.

That's what I thought too but these chickens were laying ? I got a few eggs the day they arrived... from stress maybe but none since. This farm only gets cleaned out 1-times a year... so the chickens are older...I think their chickens are used to produce hatching eggs.
