I like to go off of color and personality as names go! We named our hen Midnight ( black australorp), Sunny (yellow buff orphington) and Peanut ( brown Americana). Super sweet girls!

Perfect name for a Buff Orp! Those are our favorite chickens and "Sunny" would fit most of our's disposition. What big, gentle, giants, we will never be without them!

I didn't name my 10 chicks yet but my 4 chickens and roo have names:

Fire(Darkest color RIR)
Light(Used to be the lightest color RIR)
Golden(Yellowish color RIR)
Ruby(The smallest of them all and also a darkish red color RIR)
Milky(My roo and a pure white silkie[he is NOT a bantam])

We name our chicks based on their personalities and what they look like, so, yeah. Let's see how they turn out.

We just hatched 3 buff orpingtons Caroline, Sun and Edith( the fathers name is Edward and one of the moms is Caroline) and 2 red or red cuckoo orpingtons named Paradise and Scarlet

We used to have this big white roo named Merlin. And his 4 rir hens where simply Merlins girls. Now we have Bob and Christine (named after my step dad and his gf...lol). Plus 12 commercial chickens with no names...thinking of food names....jk
And 12 assorted bannies awaiting names.

We recently got our first 4 chicks ever, my husband named our little Dominique, Geoerge.....she is the sweetest baby, loves to be held and talked.

My daughter named the 2 golden Wyandottes, Llama and Chica.
I named our New Hampshire red, Banjo! They are all about 3 1/2 weeks now!
