    Thinking about Ducks

We have 19 chickens, different breeds, and I'm thinking about getting 2-3 ducks. I live in Idaho so I'm curious about whether they'll fly away in the fall and return in the spring? Also what's a good breed to have? We want good layers and friendly. How quick do they start laying? I understand...

    Found baby kitten

Update: Garfield, ended up pooping today and there were no worms in it. Im going to buy him some kitten wet food tomorrow and slowly switch him. I can give him water? I think I'll do that after I feed him. Thanks.

    Baby kitten

ast night my family and I found a mama cat that had been hit, in the middle of the road. As we drove up we saw a very VERY small kitten next to her. It ran off when we parked but we were able to find it. We brought it home but I am now worrying. I had some kitten milk(left over from our baby...

    New hen suggestions

We got them as Ameraucanas. One, Ammo, never lays, she's 1.5 and our other one, MiniMe, lays about 4/wk, she's a year. I'm thinking of doing some EEs, silver laced Wyandotte, and speckled Sussex. It just depends what my small town gets.

    New hen suggestions

I'm looking to add 4 or so new chicks to my flock this spring. We have 14 so far and they're decent layers, except our 2 americaunas. I'm looking for pretty birds and cool or colored eggs. Production is not greatly important but alittle obviously. I love the americauna's eggs but one never lays...

    Free-Range Rabbits?

Awesome thanks you guys. It is obviously a pet and not wild. I think I'll let it out while we're outside in the summer but keep it on the kennel, which is 10x10.

    Free-Range Rabbits?

How long till rabbits are use to their new home? We just found a rabbit and am wondering when I can let it out to wonder around. Once its accustomed, will it wonder back to its home, like chickens go back to their coop at night? We have a fenced in backyard but it might be able to get through...

    Impacted crop?

Thanks. This morning it was almost all gone and where she was kept was covered in foul smelling feces. It's back done tonight and I believe some others might have it, very slight though. Gave bread crumbles coated with mineral oil tonight. Is there a way to prevent this?

    Impacted crop?

My gold sex link showed up like this yesterday. I've read and looked at pictures and pretty sure it's impacted crop. Gave her 1/4 tsp of mineral oil and massaged her tonight and Separated her from food. Just making sure I'm right. Of course she's the one I've bonded with. Thanks
